KP Chief Minister Announces Enhanced Support for Laborers
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister, Ali Amin Gandapur, marked Labor Day with significant announcements to support the laborers.
The provincial government has doubled the assistance packages provided to laborers, ensuring increased support for their welfare.
To ensure fair compensation, CM Gandapur directed the appointment of magistrates to enforce the minimum wage set by the government.

Additionally, the Labour Department has been instructed to transfer ownership of 2,056 residential flats in Peshawar to laborers.
The Chief Minister highlighted the increase in the Labour Department’s revenue and emphasized the need to increase packages for laborers accordingly.
He also stressed the importance of transferring laborers’ salaries through bank accounts and establishing an effective monitoring mechanism to ensure they receive the minimum wage.

Furthermore, CM Ali Amin transferred Rs. 177.5 million to the Labour Department to cover the educational expenses of 22,354 students.
The provincial government has also pledged to introduce new legislation and reforms within the existing legal framework to protect laborers’ rights.
