Mohsin Naqvi Directs Passport Issuance Within 7 Days
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has taken swift action to address the long delays in passport issuance faced by overseas Pakistanis.
During his visit to the Passport and NADRA centers in London, he ordered that passports be issued within seven days, with regular passports to be processed within 30 days.

The Minister’s directive comes after he noticed that regular passports were taking around four months to be issued, while urgent ones were taking one and a half months.
He warned against further delays and promised action if passports were not issued on time.
To ensure timely delivery, a monitoring cell has been set up, to be overseen by ASP Shahrbano, Personal Staff Officer to the Interior Minister.
Overseas Pakistanis who do not receive their passports on time can lodge complaints at passport@interior.gov.pk.
This move is expected to bring relief to thousands of overseas Pakistanis who have been facing difficulties due to delayed passport issuance.
The Interior Minister’s initiative aims to provide efficient and timely services to citizens living abroad.
