NDMA Warns of Dangerous Temperatures in Punjab and Sindh

Authorities urge public to take precautions as temperatures expected to soar from Thursday to May 27

The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a warning for an impending heatwave starting Tuesday, expected to severely affect Punjab and Sindh from Thursday to May 27.

Temperatures are predicted to soar to dangerous levels, posing serious health risks.

To minimize the effects of the heat, the public is advised to avoid direct sunlight, stay hydrated, wear lightweight clothing, and remain indoors during peak sunlight hours.

Farmers and livestock owners are also urged to take special precautions to protect their crops and animals.

The NDMA’s advisory aims to raise awareness and encourage proactive steps to minimize health risks and protect livelihoods.
