Pak, US Armies Hold Joint Exercise Inspired Gambit 2026

13th edition of bilateral drill focuses on CT cooperation and interoperability

RAWALPINDI: Exercise Inspired Gambit 2026 is being conducted between the Pakistan Army and the United States Army from January 8 to 16, the Inter-Services Public Relations said on Thursday.

The two-week-long Gambit 2026 exercise, focusing on counter-terrorism operations, marks the 13th iteration of the bilateral training series that has been held regularly since 1995.

A Distinguished Visitors’ Day ceremony was held on January 15 at the National Counter Terrorism Centre, Pabbi. United States Chargé d’Affaires to Pakistan Natalie Baker, accompanied by senior US military officials, attended the event along with the Commander Rawalpindi Corps.

During the visit, participants briefed the guests on the scope, objectives, and conduct of the exercise. The visiting dignitaries appreciated the high level of professionalism and operational competence demonstrated by troops from both armies.

According to the ISPR, the exercise aims to further strengthen bilateral military cooperation through the exchange of counter-terrorism experience, refinement of CT drills and procedures, and enhancement of interoperability between the two forces.
