Pakistan and China, agreed to explore opportunities for increased cooperation between Pakistan and Guangdong province, particularly under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with Meng Fanli, Party Secretary of Shenzhen Municipal Committee, and Deputy Party Secretary of Guangdong Provincial Committee, in Shenzhen, China, on Tuesday.

The prime minister praised the economic growth and innovative spirit of Guangdong province, and termed Shenzhen as a trade gateway for China’s business linkages with Pakistan.

Both sides emphasized the importance of robust linkages and exchanges between scientists, innovators, and businessmen to harness the true potential for enhanced partnership in science and technology, innovation, and trade and economic cooperation.

The Pakistan-China Business Conference, scheduled for Wednesday, is expected to make an important contribution to this end.

The conference will bring together business leaders and investors from both countries to explore opportunities for collaboration and investment.
