Pakistan Navy Seizes Over 2,000 Kg of ice in Arabian Sea

KARACHI: Pakistan Navy Ship TABUK, operating as part of the Regional Maritime Security Patrol (RMSP) and supporting Saudi-led CTF-150 under HQ Combined Maritime Forces (CMF), intercepted a suspicious stateless dhow in the Arabian Sea.

During a major counter-narcotics operation onboard, the Navy seized over 2,000 kilograms of methamphetamine (ICE), with an estimated regional wholesale value of 130 million US dollars.

This marks the third consecutive successful interdiction by Pakistan Navy ships in the past two months, reflecting the Navy’s ongoing resolve and professionalism in countering maritime illicit trafficking. The operation also underscores the effectiveness of multinational coordination under CMF.

A Pakistan Navy spokesperson reaffirmed the force’s commitment to safeguarding national maritime interests, upholding the principles of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS), and contributing to global maritime security.
