The latest casualties were identified as Havaldar Muhammad Naveed of the Pakistan Army and Senior Technician Muhammad Ayaz of the Pakistan Air Force.

The ISPR “condemned Indian forces of launching blatant and cowardly aggression on the night of May 6-7, 2025, targeting civilian areas.”

“While defending the motherland with exemplary courage and unwavering resolve, two more valiant sons of the soil embraced martyrdom today,” the ISPR stated. “Their noble sacrifice stands as a timeless testament to their courage, devotion to duty, and unshakeable patriotism.”

The military said the fallen soldiers would be remembered as national heroes, with their sacrifices “forever etched in the nation’s collective memory, inspiring generations to come.”

The clashes mark one of the most serious escalations between the two nuclear-armed neighbors in recent years.

While India has not yet issued a statement on the latest casualties, both sides have traded accusations of unprovoked attacks.

Pakistan has vowed to defend its sovereignty, with the military reaffirming its commitment to protecting civilians and national borders.
