Petrol Price Surged By Rs 4.53
The price of petrol has surged by Rs. 4.53 per liter, reaching Rs. 293.94, while the price of high-speed diesel has witnessed a substantial hike of Rs. 8.14 per liter, now priced at Rs. 290.38.
According to a notification issued by finance ministry of Pakistan, the latest adjustment comes after the last fortnightly review of petroleum prices on March 31, during which the government raised the price of petrol by Rs. 9.66 per liter.
Conversely, the price of high-speed diesel saw a reduction of Rs. 3.32 per liter.
It is noteworthy that the government is presently imposing a petroleum levy of Rs. 60 per liter, the maximum permissible limit under the law, on both petrol and high-speed diesel.
