PIA signs historic cargo agreement with Biman Bangladesh Airlines

Strategic interline partnership to streamline regional air cargo, enhance trade of textiles, pharmaceuticals, and agricultural goods.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has signed a landmark Cargo Interline Special Priority Agreement with Biman Bangladesh Airlines, the national carrier of Bangladesh. The agreement is set to take effect from 1 December 2025, aiming to facilitate smooth air cargo movement between the two countries.

Under the terms of the agreement, Saudi Arabian cities—Jeddah, Madinah, and Riyadh—will serve as transit gateways, enabling a strategic corridor for regional trade. The partnership is expected to significantly reduce logistical challenges in transporting high-value goods such as textiles, pharmaceuticals, and agricultural products.

Through the combined networks of the two national carriers, the agreement will provide efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality cargo solutions to exporters and importers.

A PIA spokesperson said the airline remains committed to offering Pakistani exporters and importers the most effective cargo services in the region, enhancing trade connectivity and promoting regional economic growth.

This historic agreement between PIA and Biman, marks a new chapter in aviation collaboration between Pakistan and Bangladesh, reinforcing bilateral trade and regional supply chain efficiency.
