PM Shehbaz discusses regional situation in call with Saudi Crown Prince

Prime minister stresses dialogue, unity of Ummah; MBS expresses desire to visit Pakistan

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday held a telephone conversation with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, during which the two leaders exchanged views on the regional situation and current developments.

Expressing Pakistan’s complete solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the prime minister underscored the importance of maintaining regional peace and stability through dialogue and diplomacy. He also emphasised the need for unity and harmony within the Muslim Ummah amid prevailing regional and global challenges, according to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office.

During the warm and cordial interaction, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif conveyed his respectful regards and best wishes for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, as well as for the crown prince. He also thanked Prince Mohammed bin Salman for his continued warmth and affection towards Pakistan.

Both leaders reaffirmed their shared commitment to further strengthening the long-standing fraternal ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, which they noted had reached new heights in recent months.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman thanked the prime minister for the call and reiterated the Kingdom’s desire to expand cooperation with Pakistan across all areas of mutual interest. He also expressed his intention to undertake an official visit to Pakistan in the coming year.
