PM Shehbaz Hosts Dinner to Thank Allies for Support on 27th Constitutional Amendment

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday hosted a grand dinner in honour of government and allied senators, expressing gratitude for their support of the proposed 27th Constitutional Amendment.

According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, Shehbaz extended special thanks to President Asif Ali Zardari and the leadership of all coalition parties for their cooperation, saying the alliance had stood firmly behind a “shared national vision.”

Speaking on the broader reform agenda, the prime minister said the 27th Amendment embodies a collective resolve to strengthen the federation, promote provincial harmony, safeguard national interests, and enhance governance.

Acknowledging the contributions of coalition partners and party members in advancing key legislative initiatives, he noted that close coordination among allies had enabled the government to achieve significant milestones. The premier added that, in addition to finalizing the proposed amendment, the government had already introduced substantial reforms following the 26th Amendment.

Shehbaz also highlighted Pakistan’s recent diplomatic progress and growing international recognition as signs of unity within the ruling alliance. He said the country’s economic indicators were showing positive momentum, with political and economic stability now firmly on track.
