PNEC holds 37th convocation in Karachi

353 graduates awarded degrees as Sindh chief minister attends ceremony

KARACHI: The 37th convocation of Pakistan Navy Engineering College (PNEC) was held on Thursday at the Bahria Auditorium, where Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah attended as the chief guest.

A total of 353 graduates were awarded degrees, including four PhDs, 41 MS degrees and 308 bachelor’s degrees. During the ceremony, 39 medals were also conferred on outstanding students, comprising seven President’s Gold Medals, four Chief of the Naval Staff Gold Medals, eight Chancellor’s Silver Medals, 18 Rector’s Gold Medals and two Quaid-e-Azam Gold Medals.

Addressing the gathering, the chief minister congratulated the graduating students and their parents, saying that NUST PNEC was producing quality engineers for Pakistan’s evolving industrial and technological needs. He noted that the presence of foreign students reflected the institution’s strong credentials and international standing in the engineering sector.

The convocation was attended by senior civil and military officials, faculty members and parents of the graduating students.

The event concluded with the formal conferment of degrees and medals, marking a significant academic milestone for the graduating class.
