President approves Nehal Hashmi’s appointment as Sindh governor

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has approved the appointment of Nehal Hashmi as the governor of Sindh.

According to an official statement, the president granted approval to the summary for Hashmi’s appointment on the advice of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif under Articles 48 and 101 of the Constitution of the Pakistan.

President Zardari also extended congratulations and best wishes to Hashmi on his appointment as the governor of Sindh.

The president has signed the commission of appointment, formally confirming Hashmi’s nomination for the constitutional office.

Nehal Hashmi will assume his duties after taking oath before the chief justice of the Sindh High Court.
