In anticipation of the upcoming visit of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi to Karachi on April 23, the Commissioner Karachi has declared a public holiday in the city.

Citywide Closure

All private and government offices, as well as educational institutions, will remain closed on April 23 in Karachi, as per an official notification released today about public holiday.

President Raisi’s Itinerary

Sources indicate that President Raisi’s visit includes:

  • Paying homage to the founder of Pakistan, Muhammad Ali Jinnah, at the iconic Mazar-e-Quaid
  • A dinner hosted by the President of Pakistan in honor of President Raisi, highlighting the significance of bilateral relations between the two nations
