Riphah University Hosts 27th IEEE INMIC 2025 Conference

Two-day international forum highlights advances in computing, AI and interdisciplinary research

The Faculty of Computing at Riphah International University is hosting the 27th IEEE International Conference on Multi-Topic (INMIC 2025) on December 23 and 24, reaffirming its commitment to promoting research, innovation and academic collaboration in emerging areas of computing and technology.

The conference was formally inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Riphah International University Prof. Dr. Anis Ahmed, who underscored the importance of interdisciplinary research and emphasized the role of academic institutions in addressing global technological challenges.

The event was attended by distinguished Guests of Honor, including Prof. Dr. Khalid Malik from the University of Michigan–Flint, United States, and Prof. Dr. Syed Irfan Hyder, Vice Chancellor Salim Habib University, Karachi. Their participation added strong academic and international dimensions to the conference.

Opening remarks were delivered by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zubair, who highlighted the growing importance of technology in a dynamic and multicultural global environment and stressed the need for collaborative research to tackle complex societal challenges.

The conference featured keynote addresses by renowned scholars Dr. Mohamed Wiem Mkaouer from the University of Michigan–Flint and Prof. Dr. Bernard J. Jansen from the Water Computing Research Institute, who shared insights into current trends and future directions in computing and artificial intelligence.

Prof. Dr. Nosherwan Shoaib, Chair IEEE Islamabad Section, also delivered a special talk focusing on AI-driven technological transformations and their expanding impact on the global digital landscape.

A dedicated panel discussion titled “Artificial Intelligence: Opportunities and Challenges” was held, with Prof. Saad Naeem Zafar, Prof. Dr. Yasir Ayyaz and Prof. Dr. Naveed Ikram participating as panelists. The discussion explored practical applications, ethical considerations and future prospects of artificial intelligence.

According to a press release, the 27th IEEE INMIC 2025 provides a valuable platform for researchers, faculty members and professionals to exchange ideas, strengthen collaboration and contribute to shaping the future of computing and intelligent systems.
