Senate Chairman Pays Tribute to Late Mian Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo

Gilani meets Wattoo family, discusses political and governance matters

Lahore: Chairman of the Senate, Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, on Tuesday paid tribute to the distinguished social and political services of former Chief Minister of Punjab, the late Mian Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo.

Chairman Senate visited the residence of the late leader, offered Fateha for his soul, and expressed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. He prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the departed soul a high place in Jannah and to bless the family with courage and fortitude during this difficult time.

During the visit, Gilani conveyed the deep sympathies of the Senate of Pakistan and acknowledged the significant role played by Mian Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo in national and provincial politics, public service, and the strengthening of democratic institutions.

The Senate Chairman also held a detailed discussion with the family members regarding the current political situation in the country and the evolving political landscape in Punjab. Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani emphasized the importance of political dialogue, stability, and collective responsibility in addressing national challenges. He stated that political maturity and cooperation among all stakeholders are essential to ensure the continuity of democracy and safeguard the interests of the people.
