Six Security Personnel Martyred in Bannu Terrorist Attack
BANNU: Six personnel of the Pakistan Army and Federal Constabulary embraced martyrdom while five militants were killed after a terrorist attack on the Federal Constabulary Headquarters in Bannu district, security officials said on Monday.
According to initial reports, the attackers attempted to breach the compound’s perimeter security and later rammed an explosives-laden vehicle into the outer wall, causing a partial collapse and damaging nearby civilian infrastructure. Three civilians were reported injured in the blast.
Security forces immediately engaged the assailants in a heavy exchange of fire and successfully neutralised all five attackers.

A clearance operation in and around the site was continuing till the filing of this report. Officials vowed that the perpetrators and their facilitators would be brought to justice, adding that the sacrifices of soldiers and civilians would only strengthen Pakistan’s resolve to eliminate terrorism.
