Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar stated that the government’s decision to slash power tariffs for Eid-ul-Fitr serves as a special gift to consumers.

The minister emphasized Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s commitment to curbing inflation.

Tarar highlighted a significant decrease of 3.82 rupees per unit in power tariffs for April compared to the previous month.

He underscored the government’s role in averting a financial crisis, asserting that prudent policies have stabilized the exchange rate and the value of the rupee.

Additionally, Tarar referenced a report by Bloomberg magazine, which noted a two percent decrease in inflation in Pakistan.

The magazine also predicted a further decline in inflation for the upcoming year.
