PESHAWAR: A major terrorist attack on the Frontier Corps (FC) Headquarters in Saddar was foiled early Monday when three suicide attackers attempted to storm the premises. One attacker detonated explosives at the main gate, while the other two tried to enter while firing, but were neutralised by security personnel.
Security forces recovered two suicide jackets and eight hand grenades from the attackers. Officials said the assailants are suspected to have links across the border. The attack resulted in the martyrdom of Havaldar Alamzeb (Platoon 277), Sepoy Riyasat (Platoon 478) and Sepoy Altaf (Platoon 277). Four other personnel were injured and shifted to Lady Reading Hospital. Hospital authorities confirmed all injured are in stable condition.
