WANA: Sensitive revelations have surfaced regarding the terrorist attack on Cadet College Wana, as security officials confirmed that all the assailants were Afghan citizens and that the operation was orchestrated from across the border.

According to security sources, the attack was meticulously planned in Afghanistan, with final orders issued by Khawariji Noor Wali Mehsud. The attackers reportedly carried out the assault under real-time instructions received from handlers based in Afghanistan.

Investigations indicate that the planning of the operation was led by a militant known as Khawariji Zahid, while the assault was claimed under the name “Jaish-ul-Hind” on Noor Wali Mehsud’s directive. Officials believe this was an attempt to conceal the involvement of the banned Fitna-ul-Khawarij Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), as the attackers repeatedly invoked “Jaish-ul-Hind” in a video recorded during the incident.

Sources further disclosed that the Afghan Taliban had been exerting pressure on the Khawarij elements not to reveal their real identity, amid increasing diplomatic and military pressure from Pakistan and its partners. Intercepted audio from the attackers featured Urdu communications and deliberate references to “Jaish-ul-Hind” to mislead investigators.

All weapons and equipment used in the assault — including American-made arms — were reportedly supplied from Afghanistan. Officials alleged that the attack was part of a broader plan to destabilise Pakistan’s security environment, allegedly under directives from the Indian intelligence agency RAW.

Authorities have now confirmed the identities of the Afghan terrorists killed in the operation, dispelling earlier ambiguities. Counterterrorism efforts under the National Action Plan and Operation Azm-e-Istehqam are ongoing, with officials vowing to eliminate all remaining terrorist networks.

Masterminds of Islamabad Suicide Blast Arrested
In a related development, security agencies have arrested the facilitator and handler involved in the recent suicide bombing at the Islamabad Judicial Complex. Both suspects have been shifted to an undisclosed location for interrogation.

According to intelligence sources, the facilitator had been residing in Rawalpindi’s Dhok Paracha area for nearly a month before being captured, while the handler was detained in a separate operation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Officials stated that investigations are underway to trace the full network behind the attack and prevent further attempts to disrupt peace and security in the capital.
