UAE to Resume Work Visas for Pakistani Workforce, Ambassador Announces
ISLAMABAD: Salem Al-Zaabi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Pakistan, announced that work visas for Pakistani workers will soon be resumed for the UAE, with preparations already underway.
The announcement regarding work visas came during a meeting at the UAE Embassy with a delegation led by Syed Rahmat Ali Shah, Chairman of the Pakistan Overseas Employment Promoters Association (POEPA). The delegation also included POEPA Secretary General Mumtaz Siddique, former Chairman Syed Habib Ali Shah, the Chairman’s Special Assistant Shakeel Abbasi, and Executive Member Tariq Javed.

Upon the delegation’s arrival, Ambassador Al-Zaabi extended a warm welcome and highlighted the historic and enduring bond of friendship and brotherhood between Pakistan and the UAE. He appreciated POEPA’s efforts in supplying skilled manpower to the Emirates, noting that the contribution of Pakistani workers to the UAE’s development and progress is invaluable.
Speaking on the occasion, POEPA Chairman Syed Rahmat Ali Shah commended the ambassador for his diplomatic efforts in strengthening bilateral ties and reaffirmed that the skilled Pakistani workforce will continue to play a vital role in supporting the UAE’s development and prosperity.
