Bishop’s predictions are based on the recent performances of these teams, with the West Indies showing impressive form in the recent T20I series against England.
England, meanwhile, has been consistent in the format, while India and Australia have a strong track record in ICC events.
Kohli’s Record Under Threat
Bishop also predicted that Virat Kohli’s record for the most runs in a single T20I World Cup would be surpassed.
Kohli set this record in 2014 with 319 runs, including four fifties.
The possibility of a new record highlights the expanded tournament format and the inclusion of 20 teams.
Tournament Format
The T20 World Cup will feature 40 matches in the Caribbean and 15 matches in the USA, signaling the growing influence of cricket in North America.
The tournament will start on June 2 and conclude on June 29.
Twenty teams will participate, divided into four groups of five teams each, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the Super 8s stage.
