Pakistan Clinch IBSF Team Snooker Championship
Pakistan clinched the IBSF Snooker World Cup Team Championship on Sunday after defeating Hong Kong China 2 by 3–2 in a thrilling best-of-five frames final.
The Pakistani duo of former world champion Muhammad Asif and Asjad Iqbal produced two brilliant century breaks in the deciding phase to seal the title. Hong Kong’s team featured Chau Hon Man and Nansen Wan.
Hong Kong took an early lead when Chau Hon Man defeated Asjad Iqbal 94–0, supported by an impressive 85 break. Pakistan responded strongly in the second frame as Asif played a classy 82 break to beat Nansen Wan 95–17, leveling the match at 1–1.
Hong Kong regained the advantage by winning the doubles frame 84–41, moving ahead 2–1 and pushing Pakistan to the brink of defeat.
However, Pakistan made a strong comeback in the reverse singles. Asif delivered a clinical performance with a 100 break to defeat Chau Hon Man 100–36, bringing the match to 2–2.
With everything on the line in the final frame, Asjad Iqbal produced a superb 104 break, defeating Nansen Wan 104–0 to complete Pakistan’s comeback and secure the championship.

0–94 (85), 95 (82)–17, 41–84, 100 (100)–36, 104 (104)–0.
This victory marks Muhammad Asif’s seventh world title overall, including three team world championships, three individual world titles, and one World Masters title.
