PCB announces Australia’s T20I tour of Pakistan
LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board on Wednesday announced the schedule for Australia’s tour of Pakistan, which will feature a three-match T20I series to be played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore towards the end of this month.
All three matches will be held at the same venue, with fixtures scheduled for January 29, January 31 and February 1. According to the PCB, Australia’s T20I squad will arrive in Lahore on January 28.
The cricket board said the toss for each match will take place at 5:30pm local time, while play will begin at 6pm.
The PCB said the series would provide important match practice for both sides ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. Pakistan are placed in Group A of the tournament, while Australia are in Group B.
This will be Australia’s third tour of Pakistan since March–April 2022, when they played Tests, ODIs and a T20I in the country. Australia also played three matches of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in Pakistan. Their only previous T20I at the Gaddafi Stadium was played on April 5, 2022, which Australia won by three wickets.
