NEW YORK: Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has announced that the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League will be held from March 26 to May 3, 2026.

Speaking during the PSL roadshow in New York, Naqvi said rewarding players helps boost morale and stressed that the PCB and PSL organisers are jointly working for the betterment of cricket in Pakistan. He said Pakistan has immense cricketing talent and that investors in the PSL receive meaningful returns.

The New York event marked the first PSL roadshow in the United States and brought together current national cricketers and former stars. Former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram said the league’s success is a collective effort, adding that the PSL continues to entertain fans while providing opportunities to local talent.

Six members of Pakistan’s men’s national team — Salman Ali Agha, Abrar Ahmed, Faheem Ashraf, Saim Ayub, Shan Masood and Saud Shakeel — also participated in the roadshow. Former PCB chairman Ramiz Raja and PSL Chief Executive Officer Salman Naseer were also present on stage.

Raja said the league has played a key role in developing young Pakistani cricketers by giving them the chance to play alongside foreign players.

Earlier, the PCB extended the deadline for submission of bids for two new PSL teams by one week due to growing interest from Europe, the United States and the Middle East. Naqvi announced on X that the new deadline for bid submission is December 22, 2025.

The PSL, which started in 2016 with five franchises and expanded to six teams in 2018, is set to add two more teams from its 11th edition. With the expansion, the league will have eight franchises, marking its first major restructuring in seven years.
