PSL match between United, Zalmi abandoned due to rain in Lahore
LAHORE: The seventh match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) between Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi was abandoned without a ball being bowled due to heavy rain and thunderstorms at Gaddafi Stadium on Monday.
The downpour began just minutes before the toss, which was scheduled for 6:30pm, and intensified over time. Despite prompt efforts by ground staff to cover and dry the field, conditions remained unplayable.
Match officials called off the fixture 30 minutes before the official cut-off time for a five-over game, resulting in both teams sharing one point each.
