Zaman Khan holds nerve to seal dramatic win for Brisbane Heat in BBL
BRISBANE: Pakistan fast bowler Zaman Khan produced a composed final over under pressure to guide Brisbane Heat to a thrilling three-run victory over Hobart Hurricanes in the Big Bash League on Wednesday.
Defending six runs in the final over, Zaman kept his calm and executed his plans to perfection. He opened the over with a dot ball, conceded a single on the second delivery, and followed it up with two more dots to pile pressure on the Hurricanes. Zaman then struck with a wicket on the fifth ball and gave away only a single on the final delivery to seal the contest. His over read: dot, single, dot, dot, wicket, single.
Earlier, Brisbane Heat posted 160 for 8 in their 20 overs after being sent in to bat. Nathan McSweeney top-scored with 49 off 32 balls, while Matt Renshaw contributed 37 off 25 deliveries. For the Hurricanes, Riley Meredith claimed three wickets, with Rishad Hossain and Nathan Ellis picking up two each.

In reply, Hobart Hurricanes fell just short, finishing on 157 for 8 in 20 overs. Ben McDermott led the chase with 59 off 36 balls, while Beau Webster added 51 off 43 deliveries.
For the Heat, Xavier Bartlett took three wickets, Matthew Kuhnemann claimed two, and Zaman Khan, Michael Neser, and Marnus Labuschagne picked up one wicket each to complete a memorable win.
