State Bank of Pakistan Declares Eid al Fitr Holidays

State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced a closure from 10th to 12th April 2024, marking public holidays for Eid al Fitr.

Consequently, commercial banks across the country will also remain closed on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, according to State Bank of Pakistan

Earlier in the day, the Cabinet Division issued a notification specifying a three-day holiday for Eid ul Fitr, accommodating offices with varying work schedules.

As per the notification, offices following a five-day work week will observe holidays from Wednesday to Friday.

Meanwhile, for offices operating on a six-day work week, the holidays extend from Wednesday to Saturday.

In light of these holidays, the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) will remain closed for five consecutive days, starting from Wednesday and continuing through Sunday next week.
