Karachi Bar Association Slams Faisal Qureshi & Hum TV

Condemnation Issued Over Portrayal of Legal Fraternity in Drama 'Zulm'

The Karachi Bar Association has issued a strong condemnation of actor Faisal Qureshi and Hum TV for their portrayal of the legal fraternity in the drama ‘Zulm’.

The Association has demanded an apology from all parties involved, including Qureshi and Hum TV owner Sultana Siddique.

According to the condemnation, signed by General Secretary Ikhtiar Ali Channa and Chairman Human Rights Committee Zahid Hussain Soomro, Faisal Qureshi used “inappropriate language” against the legal fraternity in the drama, which has “tarnished” their reputation.

The Karachi Bar Association has reserved the right to pursue legal action against Qureshi, Hum TV, and all other parties involved in the drama.

Full Text of Condemnation:

“The cabinet of the Karachi Bar Association has been informed via Hum TV about the drama ‘Zulm’ where Faisal Qureshi used inappropriate language against the legal fraternity which is deeply contemptuous.

Considering the above, the reputation of the legal fraternity has been tarnished.

Therefore, the Karachi Bar Association demands an apology from Faisal Qureshi, Hum TV, and all other parties involved in the drama.

The Association reserves the right to pursue legal action if the demand is not met.”
