Eight children killed in mass shooting in Louisiana
LOUISIANA: At least eight children were killed in a mass shooting in Shreveport, authorities confirmed on Sunday, describing the incident as one of the most tragic in the city’s history.
According to the Shreveport Police Department, the victims were between the ages of one and 14. In total, at least 10 people were shot, though the condition of the survivors has not yet been disclosed.
Police said the shooting occurred shortly after 6am and is being treated as a domestic disturbance. Some of the victims were reportedly related to the suspected gunman.

The suspect fled the scene after hijacking a vehicle but was later shot dead during a police chase. Authorities confirmed that Louisiana State Police have launched an investigation into the officer-involved shooting.
Officials have not yet released the identity of the suspect, pending notification of the victims’ families.
Tom Arceneaux described the incident as a “devastating situation,” calling it one of the most tragic events the city has experienced.
Investigations are ongoing to determine the motive behind the shooting and the sequence of events leading up to the attack.
