Iran refuses to give up uranium enrichment amid ongoing US exchanges
TEHRAN: Iran on Wednesday said it will not relinquish its right to uranium enrichment, as indirect exchanges with the United States continue through Pakistan.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei told a weekly media briefing that Tehran remains firm on its nuclear rights, stressing that uranium enrichment is non-negotiable.
He said communication between Tehran and Washington is ongoing through Pakistan following recent talks held in Islamabad, adding that multiple messages have been exchanged since the Iranian delegation returned.
Baghaei noted that Iran is likely to host a Pakistani delegation as part of continued diplomatic engagement aimed at sustaining dialogue between the two sides.
