Ishaq Dar arrives in Kyrgyzstan for SCO foreign ministers’ meeting

WEB DESK: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar arrived in Kyrgyzstan on Thursday to participate in the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Council of Foreign Ministers meeting, the Foreign Office said.

According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, Dar was received at the airport by Kyrgyzstan’s Deputy Foreign Minister and Pakistan’s ambassador to Kyrgyzstan.

The deputy prime minister is leading Pakistan’s delegation at the SCO Council of Foreign Ministers meeting, where member states are expected to discuss key regional and international issues.

During his visit, Dar is also scheduled to attend an informal dinner hosted for the SCO foreign ministers.

The Foreign Office said the deputy prime minister will hold discussions with his counterparts on the agenda of the SCO Council of Foreign Ministers meeting and matters of mutual interest.
