ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday restrained the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) from announcing the results of its recruitment examinations while hearing a petition challenging the examination process.

Justice Azam Khan issued the order during proceedings on a petition filed by Yasir Arafat and directed the FIA to withhold the announcement of the recruitment test results until the court decides the matter.

The court also issued notices to the FIA and other respondents, seeking their replies on the petition.

During the hearing, the petitioner’s counsel argued that the recruitment examination included questions that were outside the prescribed syllabus, making the test process unfair.

The court was further informed that the petitioner had already submitted an application to the FIA raising concerns over the conduct of the examination.
