The incident once again highlights recurring drowning tragedies across the Hazara region during the monsoon season.

Authorities said that despite repeated bans on swimming and bathing at dangerous waterfalls, streams, ponds and lakes, dozens of people lose their lives every year due to strong currents and rising water levels.

Officials have once again urged the public to comply with safety restrictions, warning that ignoring official advisories continues to result in preventable loss of life every year.
