PCB unveils PSL 11 Team of the Tournament, Babar Azam named captain
LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Monday announced the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11 Team of the Tournament, naming Babar Azam as captain following his title-winning campaign.
The team features top performers from across franchises, with three players each from Peshawar Zalmi and Hyderabad Kingsmen, two each from Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United, and one apiece from Multan Sultans and Quetta Gladiators.
The selection was made by a five-member panel from the commentary team, which also named an Emerging Team of the Tournament to recognise young talent.
A total of 44 matches were played between March 26 and May 3 in Lahore and Karachi.
Babar Azam led from the front, finishing as the tournament’s top run-scorer with 588 runs. He claimed the Hanif Mohammad Cap and equalled Fakhar Zaman’s record for most runs in a single PSL season. His campaign included two centuries against Quetta Gladiators and Islamabad United.
Among other standout performers, Kusal Mendis scored 550 runs for Peshawar Zalmi, while spinner Sufyan Moqim claimed 22 wickets, earning Player of the Tournament and Best Bowler honours.
From Hyderabad Kingsmen, Usman Khan scored 389 runs, Hassan Khan contributed with both bat and ball, and Hunain Shah impressed with 17 wickets.

Lahore Qalandars’ Fakhar Zaman (401 runs) and Shaheen Shah Afridi (16 wickets) also made the XI, while Multan Sultans’ Shan Masood earned selection with 367 runs.
Shadab Khan represented Islamabad United after a strong all-round season, scoring 173 runs and taking 17 wickets to win the Best All-Rounder award, alongside teammate Richard Gleeson.
Hasan Nawaz of Quetta Gladiators was named as the 12th player after scoring 291 runs.
The PSL 11 Team of the Tournament reflects a competitive season marked by strong individual performances and emerging talent across franchises.
