Peshawar Zalmi smash record 256 against Quetta Gladiators in PSL 11 clash
KARACHI: Peshawar Zalmi delivered a record-breaking batting performance to post a massive total of 256 runs against Quetta Gladiators at the National Stadium Karachi in a Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 11 match.
After being sent in to bat, Zalmi’s top order dominated from the outset, with skipper Babar Azam leading from the front with a शानदार century.
He scored 100 off 52 balls, hitting six fours and four sixes, anchoring the innings with composure and authority.

He was ably supported by Kusal Mendis, who played an explosive knock of 83 off 44 deliveries, smashing 10 boundaries and maintaining a rapid scoring rate.
The duo stitched together a match-defining partnership, putting the Gladiators under relentless pressure throughout the innings.
Zalmi’s lower order continued the onslaught, with Farhan Yousaf adding a quick 19 off 8 balls, while Aaron Hardie provided a late surge, striking three sixes in just 10 deliveries to take the total to 255-3.
The Gladiators’ bowling attack struggled to contain the flow of runs, conceding 11 extras, including wides and leg byes, as Zalmi maintained an impressive run rate of 12.75.
With this dominant batting display, Zalmi set a daunting target for Quetta Gladiators, who now face a steep challenge in match 29 of the tournament.
